Who this site is for
This site is intended for users aged 18 and over. It is free. Nothing is sold on it.
Not affiliated with the VCAA
Methods 2026 Answers is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA).
Unofficial worked solutions
Our worked solutions are unofficial. AI models draft them, and a Methods teacher checks every final answer before it appears. We still make mistakes. When we find one, we correct it and log the change in the corrections log.
The VCAA marks the exams and publishes its own report on each exam after marking. Where our solutions differ from the VCAA's marking or its report, the VCAA is right.
Common errors and past results
"Where students go wrong" notes come from VCAA examiner reports on similar questions in past exams. They describe errors students have made before. They do not tell you how this year's paper will be marked.
"Historical comparison" cards show how students went on a similar question in one past year. They are not a forecast of how students will go this year.
Score check
The score check gives a rough estimate of the Exam 2 mark you would need for each study score. It is based on past VCAA grade distributions and on your own estimate of your Exam 1 mark. Grade boundaries change every year. The score check does not predict anyone's study score. Your study score also depends on your school-assessed coursework and on how all students in the state perform.
Practice papers
AI models write any practice papers on this site. They are for practice. They are not a prediction of the real paper, and they may contain errors.
Spot the exam error
The quiz describes errors found in past VCAA papers. Each item names its source. We include them to help students read questions carefully, not to criticise the people who write the exams.
Release times
All release times are targets, not promises. Checking can take longer than we plan.
Copyright and trade marks
The VCAA owns copyright in its exam papers and examiner reports. We reproduce questions from the 2026 Methods exams, and short passages from past examiner reports, so that students can follow the worked solutions. You can find past exams and reports on the VCAA website. If you hold rights in any material on this site and want it changed or removed, reply to any of our emails.
